Before you sign
- Many states have special laws for manufactured home communities, such as notice before rent goes up, limits on reasons to end the rental, and rules about selling the home in place. The state tips on the last step cover your state.
- Attach a copy of the community's rules and give the homeowner a copy.
- Write down who owns the home and who owns the lot. They are often two different people.
