Resignation Letter
A short, polite letter telling your employer you are leaving your job, and your last day.
Good for: Employees who are quitting a job and want it in writing.
Before you sign
- Keep it short and kind. You do not have to give a reason.
- Check your contract or employee handbook for how much notice you are asked to give. Two weeks is common.
- Keep a copy, and ask when your final paycheck, unused vacation pay, and benefits end.
